Installation

This VM has OpenGnsys version 1.1.1d installed on Ubuntu Server 24.04, with the following patches added:

  • Client support for Windows 11 and Ubuntu 24 (new compatible agent ogagent_1.2.3_all.deb, install with "apt install")
  • Dual-boot support for Windows UEFI
  • oglivecli with access to the new server www.opengnsys.es (nginx)
  • Task calendar extended until 2028
  • Security patch for CVE-2024-370x


Configuration Process

  1. Import the VM. It's pre-configured with a 300GB "thin" disk.
  2. Access the console (username: "opengnsys", password: "opengnsys").
  3. Run the network_config.sh script and restart the VM, connecting to the new IP address.
  4. Execute the opengnsys_config.sh script to configure passwords and the OpenGnsys server type (Full, Admin only, Repo only, DHCP yes/no).
  5. If desired, run the import script /opt/opengnsys/lib/opengnsys_import.sh to import data from another OpenGnsys 111d server (functionality with other versions isn't verified).
